Kajol on why she sent her daughter to a boarding school
Asked whether she supports boarding schools, Kajol did not hesitate. “My experience has been very good, and I have also sent my daughter. I want to send my son a little later, but yes, I will send him as well, I hope,” she said.
Explaining her reasoning, Kajol brought up one of the oldest parenting beliefs there is. “I believe that children who study are not only influenced by their parents. It takes a village to raise a child. I believe in that.”
In simple words, children don’t grow only because of what happens at
home. They pick things up from teachers, roommates, seniors, friends, mentors, and basically every adult who becomes part of their daily life. Boarding school puts children in front of new personalities, new ways of thinking, and situations parents simply can’t recreate at home. For Kajol, that bigger world becomes part of a child’s real education.
