IndiGo flights cancellation 26 December: Winter fog grounds several flights across the nation
Given the current fog situation in several North Indian cities, IndiGo has reportedly cancelled several flights across its domestic network on Friday, 26 December. The reason for cancellation on the official website of the airline is cited as persistent winter fog and poor visibility which has impacted aviation operations in many regions. As per the airline’s official updates, multiple IndiGo services remain cancelled due to forecasted bad weather at Varanasi, Chandigarh and Guwahati, among others. In addition, major cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata also experienced scheduled flights grounded as visibility levels dropped severely in early morning hours. Most airports across the country face operational issues because of reduced visibility. Therefore, travellers are advised to check real-time flight status before heading towards the airports.

Those passengers who are affected by cancellations of their flights are recommended to stay updated with airline advisories through official websites and social media channels and plan for possible delays as weather conditions change.
